Pig ears for dogs, delivered across the UK

What is actually in the bag

A pig ear should be one thing: a pig ear. Ours are whole, hand sorted so the thin ones are left out, dried, and nothing else. Here is what that means in practice.

One ingredient

Pig ear. That is the whole list. Nothing is added, nothing is sprayed on afterwards, and there is no rawhide and no bone in them.

Batch tested

Every run is irradiated. After that a random sample goes to a third-party laboratory and is tested for salmonella, coliform, yeast and mould.

Large and thick cut

Whole ears rather than off-cuts, hand sorted so the small thin ones do not go in the bag. The average comes in around 39 grams.

Keeps them busy

For a smaller dog, under about 20 lb, one ear is usually 30 to 45 minutes of work. A determined chewer will be quicker.

Less mess than most

Minimal odour and grease compared with other brands, which matters when the bag lives in a kitchen cupboard.

Three pack sizes

Twelve to try them, fifty for a regular repeat order, a hundred for several dogs. Same heavy resealable bag, just bigger.

The range

Pig ears, and one toy

Whole pig ears in three pack sizes, plus a squeaky plush toy. Free delivery across the UK on orders over £75.

Frequently asked questions

Whole pig ears for dogs, in packs of 12, 50 and 100, plus one squeaky plush dog toy. That is the whole shop.
Pig ear. That is the entire ingredients list. Nothing is added and nothing is sprayed on afterwards.
No. These are real pig ears. There is no rawhide in them and no bone.
Large. They are whole ears rather than off-cuts, hand sorted so the thin ones are left out, and thick cut. The average is around 39 grams an ear.
Roughly 70 kcal an ear.
Yes. Every run is irradiated, and after that a random sample from the lots goes to a third-party laboratory and is tested for salmonella, coliform, yeast and mould.
No.
Yes, naturally, because there is no grain in a pig ear.
It depends on the dog more than the ear. A smaller dog, under about 20 lb, is usually 30 to 45 minutes with one. A determined chewer will be quicker.
Twelve to find out whether your dog likes them, fifty for one dog having a few a week, and a hundred for several dogs or a standing repeat order.
In a heavy gauge resealable bag. The 100 pack is the same bag, just much bigger.
Sealed in the bag, somewhere cool and dry. Stored like that they stay good for months.
Less than most. Minimal odour and grease compared with other brands is one of the things customers mention.
Owners buy them for puppies and for adult dogs. Supervise, and ask your vet if you are unsure about your own puppy.
Yes. Give one while you are around, and take it away once it is small enough to swallow whole.
They are a treat rather than a meal, and they are high in fat, so they sit alongside a balanced diet rather than replacing part of one. How many suits your own dog is a question for your vet.
Pig ears are high in fat, so they may not suit a dog with a sensitive stomach. Ask your vet about your own dog.
They are a single protein, so there is only one ingredient to react to. Whether that suits your dog is a question for your vet.
No. We tell you what is in the bag and what was done to it. We do not claim a treat cleans teeth, helps an allergy or does anything to a dog's coat, because those are questions for a vet about a specific dog.
Natural cotton with a short plush surface, with a squeaker in the body and crinkle paper in the ears and tail. It is machine washable.
Probably not for long, and no plush toy will. It is a supervised play toy rather than an armoured chew.
Delivery anywhere in the United Kingdom is £25, and it is free once your order reaches £75. There is one service rather than a choice of speeds.
Five to seven days, after a 24 to 48 hour handling time while the order is picked and packed.
Yes, anywhere in the United Kingdom, including Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
You get a confirmation email with a tracking number once the order ships. Items in one order can travel in separate parcels.
Card payment and PayPal, both through a secure checkout. Card details are handled by the payment provider and never reach this site.
Yes. You have 14 days from delivery to cancel under UK law and this shop allows 15, with no cancellation fee and no handling fee. Treats are sealed for hygiene, so an opened bag cannot come back, and an unopened one can.
That is a separate and stronger right under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Tell us, send a photograph if the parcel was damaged, and we pay the return postage.
Yes. Tell us roughly how many ears a month you get through and your postcode on the wholesale page and we will come back with a price.

Buying guide

Choosing a pig ear

We sell pig ears and almost nothing else, so this is the short version of what we have learned: what to check before you buy, how long one lasts, and how to store them.

Why people move away from rawhide

Rawhide is not really a food. It is a leather by-product that has been cleaned, pressed and shaped into a chew. Plenty of owners have read about it and decided they would rather give their dog something simpler.

A pig ear is the opposite kind of product. It is one part of one animal, dried, and that is the entire ingredients list.

What to check before you buy

Two things, and almost none of it is on the label. The first is what has been done to the ear: smoked, basted or flavoured means it has stopped being a single ingredient. The second is testing. Ours are irradiated, and after that a random sample from the lots goes to a third-party laboratory and is tested for salmonella, coliform, yeast and mould. That step is the one almost nobody publishes, and it is worth asking any supplier about.

Size is what you are paying for

Whole ear and half ear are both sold as pig ears, and thin ears from small pigs get bagged with the rest. Ours are whole, hand sorted and thick cut, averaging around 39 grams. A thicker ear takes longer to get through, which is the whole point of a chew.

How long one lasts

That depends on the dog more than the ear. A small dog, under about 20 lb, will usually be 30 to 45 minutes with one. A determined chewer will be much quicker. Against the other natural chews, a pig ear generally goes faster than a cow ear, and a cow ear faster than a bully stick.

Which pack size

Twelve is enough to find out whether your dog likes them. Fifty is the normal repeat order for one dog having a few a week. A hundred is for several dogs, or for people who have stopped buying anything else. All three come in the same heavy resealable bag.

Storing them

Sealed, cool and dry, and they stay good for months. The resealable bag is doing real work here, so push the air out and close it properly.

Feeding sensibly

Give one while you are around, and take it away once it is small enough to swallow whole. Pig ears are high in fat, so they are a treat rather than a meal and they belong alongside a balanced diet rather than replacing part of one. If your dog has a sensitive stomach, or you are unsure for any other reason, your vet is the right person to ask. Nothing on this site is veterinary advice.
